Poetry — Inspired by Asian Kung-Fu Generation’s music and my time in Japan

I take the train to your town

Buildings with pastel colors

like unlimited gelato flavors

Color the horizon

I hang onto the bar

And think of the cold rush

Of icy sweetness down my throat

And coating my lips

I step off the train to your town

As the wind caresses the leaves

I feel like they whisper your name

Like a poem written in sunlight

The leaves beckon me onward

And the flowers of your town

sway in excitement as I walk

I explore your town

Which is full of secret nooks

And sideways streets
